How to generate a QR code
- Enter text/URL — type the link or text you want the QR code to hold.
- Choose a size — pick 128, 256, or 512 pixels to suit your use.
- Generate and download — click "Generate", then download it as a PNG.
What information can it hold?
A website address (URL) is the most common, but you can also store plain text, phone numbers, email, Wi-Fi credentials, contact cards (vCard), and other character data. The longer the content, the denser the code pattern becomes.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The QR code is generated directly in your browser, so the text or link you enter is never sent to a server. The downloaded PNG works great for posters, business cards, menus, and product packaging.
Is there a size limit for a QR code?
There's a limit to how much data it can hold, and the more you add, the denser the pattern gets, which can make it harder to scan. Shorten long addresses to a short link and include only the essentials for better readability.
Does it still scan well when printed?
Yes. Just keep it large enough with adequate margins and clear contrast against the background. For printing, we recommend downloading at 512 pixels for a crisp result.
